Yesterday was a great day! I spent it photographing Lindsey and Jeremy's wedding. I usually work on my own but for this wedding my friend Svetlana Gurevich helped me out. Thank you! I have so many great photographs to go through, can't wait! Thank you Lindsey and Jeremy for a wonderful day and I hope you will like the photographs!

2009-05-29 12:10 Tracy: The pic of the twins reading the bibles or hymns is pretty darn cute! I bet you will have cute pics of them all dolled-up on the wedding day!

Yesterday we had some friends over at our house for some sausages and burgers on our first fire of the year :) We stayed up pretty late and the weather was perfect! Today Tracy and I are off to visit my parents in Calgary. Busy weekend of relaxing before my busy wedding season starts :)

Here is one more shot from the Calgary Zoo, a little baby gorilla. Don't you just want to put a bubble over it with some funny thing that she can be thinking?

2009-05-24 09:42 Paula: These are awesome! I love the baby gorilla shot and the turtle. Beautiful work.
2009-05-21 23:22 Maple: Yippee! You got the koala! I think Rita would like to have a couple more shots (and me too) and have them in her room. You know she's Australlia struck. KEEP UP THE GREAT JOB! You know, we will need a great photograper, say like you, YES you! for some wedding photos.
2009-05-21 16:14 Svetlana: Beautiful!!! Love the turtle!!
2009-05-21 15:26 TB: Love the the turtle pic (or tortoise I suppose). Great detail and he looks really content with his catch! Though I still prefer your physical re-enactment.

Just thought I would post a couple of photographs I took today. I will be photographing Jen and Lance's wedding on June 6th in Calgary and we met today so I can show them some potential photo locations for their wedding day.

Tracy and I spent some time at U of C today. Tracy's cousin Megan Mulder (#5) is playing in the West National Volleyball Championships so we went to watch some games. I took my camera with me and grabbed some snapshots of her. The lights were pretty much the worst I ever photographed in. I had to go with ISO 6400 and 1/400 and I still was a bit underexposing for my liking. Good luck tomorrow Megan!

For the last two summers my dad and I worked on building this beautiful deck for Tracy and I. We build it all from scratch and its all made of cedar wood. Granite counter top, build in BBQ, movable benches and a large table are just a few futures of the deck. The deck is pretty much done, we just need to put a coat or two of stain on it. So this summer we are ready to finally enjoy it!

2009-05-26 22:53 Sergei Belski: Thank you Mark! Vita, I'm waiting :)
2009-05-26 15:34 Mark: Wicked deck! Someday when I have my own place my dream is to build a deck like that - congrats on finally finishing it!
2009-05-25 11:14 Vita: I am soooooooooooo impressed! It's beautiful!!! I am flying over for a BBQ

I have a wedding to photograph in two weeks, it will be in Airdrie and Crossfield and I'm very excited about it. Today I went for a drive to scout some possible locations for our formal photographs. I found some nice spots, the problem is finding a nice spot with enough space where the limo can stop and turn around :) Here a couple of photographs of my MINI in one of the locations that I found.

Just took some photographs for AirdrieLIFE magazine and now off to play back to back two soccer games, wish me luck :)

Tracy's mom just came to Calgary from her vacation in Arizona and brought some home grown lemons for us. They are huge and so juicy! She brought a whole suitcase of them so we made lemonade and we have to think what we will be doing with the rest of them :)

It is my dad's birthday today and because tomorrow is a Mother's Day, we decided to have my parents over at our house and to celebrate it all together. The weather was great and we had a nice BBQ and I made some great shish kebabs, pretty sure the best shish kebabs I ever ate! Happy Birthday Dad!

Today I took some portraits for SAIT. Although it wasn't a creative assignment, it was raining outside so I didn't really mind taking some indoor photographs.

Today was a beautiful day so as soon as Tracy got home from work we decided to go for a walk. We had a great walk for about 10 km around a very nice neighborhood right outside of Airdrie city limits. We were a little late getting back home and the sunset was almost over but I still grabbed my camera and took a couple of shots.

This morning Tracy and I went for a nice bike ride with our friend Greg. After we were done I decided to take a couple of shots of Greg on his strange looking bike. I tried riding his bike and it is not as easy as it looks.
