Here is one of the photographs from a photo shoot that I did on Monday for the City of Airdrie of the recycling services here in Airdrie.

I didn't post any Vespa photographs for a while, but it doesn't mean I'm not riding it :) I thought I would post a photo of my scooter, loaded with some of my photo equipment that I took with me to do photographs at Mount Royal University.

Team photo day at Mount Royal University today. I photographed every team, and took all individual portraits of students and staff.

I photographed some soccer action earlier today, here are a couple of shots :)

I had a couple of photo shoots today. First I took some team and individual photographs for Mount Royal University of their soccer teams, and also took this shot to be used on a cover of one of their guides.

For my second photo shoot I spent some time taking photographs for Prints Charming, they needed some photographs of their store front.

Now that I'm back from my big trip :) Here are some photographs from a wedding I photographed the day before. You can also click on the link to see some of their engagement photographs we did in Banff back in June :)

Some people were asking me to post a Google map of my trip so here it is :) It is pretty accurate, just we did some portions of the trip multiple times, and its not 100% in big cities. Google doesn't allow to have more points on the map and I just can't remember exactly what streets we took in big cities :) Also I didn't have enough point to mark toads that we took in Mexico

DAY 16: Today we rode for 840km... Home sweet home, we finally made it! Wow what a trip it was! In total I rode for 7,107 kilometres, visited 3 countries, and covered 12 different states and provinces!

DAY 15: Today we rode for 456km... We were planning to ride more than that, but than we decided to quickly drive though the Yellowstone National Park. Yellowstone is beautiful and we ended up spending the whole day there. Tomorrow we will try to make it home, but we will need to ride for about 850km... Wish us luck :)

This is what I call a close encounter with a wild buffalo! Its a bit scary because with a bike you don't really have anywhere to hide if he doesn't like you :)

DAY 14: Today we rode for 588km... Well, after 14,000km it finally happened... Today I had my first breakdown. I'm not sure how it happened, probably a rock hit it or something, but while going 130 km/h, my scooter started to smoke. I stopped right away and noticed that my oil filter was almost cracked in half and I lost all my oil :( I had to get it towed and luckily it was fixed :) Just a new oil filter and and some oil and I was good to go. We lost lots of time today but still managed to put on some good driving numbers :)

DAY 13: Today we rode for 563km... Went through three states today, Nevada, Arizona, now we are in Utah. We are on our way home :) Lots of high speed driving today, in Utah they have 80 miles/h speed limit.

Driving through Arizona was very hot, my gauge showed +40C, especially hot when you are wearing a full face helmet and an armored jacket.

DAY 12: Today we rode for 277km... Las Vegas! The photograph bellow pretty much explains today's driving... 70 miles/hour road, didn't stop much, just drove straight to Las Vegas.

DAY 11: Today we rode for 479km... Mexico! This morning we left Tracy's car in San Diego and crossed the border to Mexico on my Vespa. It was a fun ride and interesting experience! On our way out through the border it only took us 5min to get out, because we were on my bike we just passed all the cars in the lineup and went straight to the front, probably saved us 2 - 3 hours of waiting time :)

This is very cool, just before this trip I ordered windscreen and front rack for my Vespa from Motorsport Scooters online and today I visited them in person and bought a side stand for my scooter :) Thank you for the t-shirt guys, and the side stand works great so far!

We took a little detour and drove on the famous Route 66 :)

DAY 10: Today we rode for 89km... and walked for about the same distance :) Our last day in San Diego. We spent most of our day at the San Diego Zoo... great place, but so much walking! After the zoo we went for a swim and a nice Vespa ride :)

DAY 9: Today we rode for 55km... Staying in San Diego. We spent most of our day at SeaWorld... pretty cool place, lots to see there :)

When we came back to our hotel, my scooter looked very lonely in the parking lot so we took it out for a ride :) We visited a vey cool spot to view the sunset on Sunset Cliffs Blvd and went back to SeaWorld for a night show :)

DAY 8: Today we rode for 337km... Palms!! My scooter made it to see some palms! We got to LA quickly and visited famous Venice beach. After hanging out there for a while we decided to drive to San Diego, it was lots of slow driving, we drove for a long time but didn't make it many kilometres. We took a smaller road and went through all the coastal places like Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, etc. Didn't have many places to stop and take photos of my scooter and probably will not take many today :( We are in San Diego now, heading out to see SeaWorld :)

DAY 7: Today we rode for 547km... We drove a good distance today and right now we are just a little less than an hour away from LA.

When you see something nice sometimes it is not very easy to capture it on camera. Trying to add a scooter in the right place so that the photo would still look good can be pretty hard. If you manage to do that, you may have to deal with a bunch of tourists who would also like to take a photo of the same beautiful place :)

Driving in the fog is not very fun, have to clean my visor all the time and can't really see all the beautiful scenery around us. Still had a great ride on all the twisty roads :)

DAY 6: Today we rode for 183km... We basically spent most of our day browsing around. Unfortunately we didn't get to see Alcatraz, everything was booked for the next couple of days :( Its amazing how many scooters are in San Francisco, especially Vespas! I drove around the city trying to take some photos to show how steep the roads are but I couldn't do it. I just couldn't park my scooter without risking it falling over. I don't know how people park here :)

On our way out of San Francisco it was very cold and very foggy. I don't know how they do it... I'm cold wearing two sweaters and these guys are surfing, where do they think they are, Hawaii?

DAY 5: Today we rode for 340km... Not many kilometres but we made it to San Francisco and we are having fun! Tomorrow the plan is to visit Alcatraz and to spend some more time around San Francisco :)

Well... it finally happened.. I dropped my scooter :( I was stopping to take a photo and the bike fell on the gravel. Bike has a big dent and some scratches, I'm fine but the bike landed on my foot and my foot is pretty sore. A day ago I lost an exhaust gasket somehow and my Vespa sounded like a very loud Harley so I had to stop and fix it in Santa Rosa. Guys at Revolution Moto fixed that, replaced my rear brakes and cleaned and adjusted everything on my bike... it runs like new (or even better) :) Thank you so much for all your help!! It was so nice to visit a proper Vespa store with all the scooters and tons of scooter accessories!

It is pretty cold here, specially compare to +38C we had a couple of hours ago.

DAY 4: Today we rode for 408km... We are in California! Beautiful ride along the coast today! Tomorrow we should be in San Francisco!

DAY 3: Today we rode for 565km... Still in Oregon but about to cross to California :) As soon as we made it to the ocean, Tracy had to go and run in a freezing water under a pouring rain :) It has been raining for about half of the day today, I hope I can wake up tomorrow and start my day without having to put on all the rain gear. It will be very hard to beat riding Oregon coast during a very beautiful sunset, it was great!
