The weather was beautiful today so I went for a ride on my Vespa. I actually didn't touch my car in more than two weeks now, I go on my scooter pretty much everywhere :)

The last day of a little break in my busy life :) Tomorrow I start the week by having a couple of photo shoots, one in Airdrie and one in Calgary :) Today Tracy and I went to see our friends and their family in Calgary for a nice BBQ, the food was great and the ride there was also wonderful! Good times!

APRIL 8, 2010 | Airdrie Photographer | Vespa Adventures

The weather here can change in minutes, earlier today was a nice sunny day, but when I opened my garage door to go to the bank I saw this :( I took my Vespa and although it was very very windy, I made it to the bank without any problems. When I came home, the scooter had a bunch of ice on it, we were all snowed in, and didn't have any electricity in the house :( Hope it will be a nicer weather on Saturday, when I have to take my scooter to Calgary for a maintenance appointment.

APRIL 7, 2010 | Calgary Photographer | Calgary Wedding Photographers Meeting

Rode my Vespa to the Calgary Wedding Photographers meeting at lunch today. It was great to see some friends. Parking in Calgary downtown with a scooter is also great! I wish I didn't need to carry all my backup cameras and other equipment when I photograph weddings or I would ride this scooter to the weddings as well :)

APRIL 3, 2010 | Calgary Photographer | Vespa Adventures

Another little Vespa adventure for me today. My friend Greg bought a motorcycle but he only has learners license for now so I drove with him all the way South of Calgary (140km in total) to pick up the motorcycle. We brought it back to my house and decided to leave it here for now so we can ride together.

I did a bit of riding today :) I'm going to try to take some more photographs when I'm riding to document my Vespa adventures. This time I went to visit Carstairs, small town 35km North from Airdrie. I don't really enjoy driving fast but the scooter was pretty good on 100km/h roads.

DECEMBER 14, 2009 | Calgary Wedding Photographer | Our House at Christmas time in Airdrie, Alberta.

Just took a photo of our house. It is pretty much a tradition of mine to take this photo every year. This is number 3 with this house. You can see previous photos from 2008 and from 2007 . This year I parked my Vespa in front of our garage. With weather being -26C it took me about 20 tries but I did start it :)

And notice that every year its getting smaller and smaller, I'm thinking next year maybe a bicycle? :) We still have Tracy's Toyota Prius, so maybe that :)

I went on a location scouting trip this morning, riding my scooter. You would be surprised how much more you notice riding than driving in a car :)

As some of you know, for my birthday my wife gave me this present, 2009 Vespa S150. It arrived a couple of days ago and I already put 46 km on it :) I love it, great way to get around the city! Don't worry mom, I'm very careful on it :)
