Day 5: Our day started out great with some yoga on the beach with Tracy, Oliver, and my sister :)

Although our day started out great, it quickly went bad :( Our little Canadian ice-cream cone melted in the Mexican sun :( Oliver got high fever. We found some medicine to get it down for now but we will see how it will go tomorrow :( It is VERY difficult, if not impossible to find a cold place around this resort, I think I have stronger air conditioner in our house in Canada than they have them at this resort.

Day 4: Another day at the resort... here is our breakfast view :)

Every tropical vacation, Tracy and I go for a long walk on the beach.. for at least a couple of hours but usually even longer... I guess this one is not an exception :) We left Oliver with grandma and went for a walk. This time my dad and my sister joined us :)

We walked towards town Akumal, but didn't really make it all the way and had to go back.. pretty far and we didn't really have that much time. We did find this nice pier where we could relax in a hammock :)

Day 3: For today's breakfast I decided to switch it up and get crepes with condensed milk.. hmm hmm good!

After breakfast we went for a swim in the ocean for the first time this vacation :) The water was great! The beach was ok but for sure not the best, way to many rocks.

I had some great ribs for lunch today!

This is the view from our room.. not to bad! We are staying on the first floor... there is no elevator in our building, so its convenient for us with the stroller :)

Day 2: For me the day started with some crepes with bacon for breakfast... my traditional vacation breakfast food :)

Oliver is making some calls.. hope they are not long distance.

After breakfast I went for a little walk to explore our beach.

So many fish in the water... it was fun to watch some kids trying to catch them :)

Before supper we did some walking around as a family and saw many of these cute animals, they are very friendly :) After asking around we found out that the name of this animal is Coati.

The day ended with Oliver going topless with grandpa where being topless is not allowed and enjoying nice hammock swinging :)

Day 1: Travel day. Tracy, Oliver, and I are on a family vacation in Mexico. We are staying at Grand Bahia Principe Akumal, where we are meeting with my mum and dad and my sister... a little family reunion! We loaded even more bags than on our last vacation (I didn't think it was possible!) and headed to the airport. Oliver was very excited and he is a such a wonderful traveler!

Oliver was much happier than I captured him in the photo below and he was super excited when we landed in Cancun, Mexico :)

We arrived safely to our hotel, but only had time for a quick supper and didn't do any exploring yet.

Here are a few photographs from a quick photo shoot I did in my studio. The goal was to get a nice, clean photo to be used for an iPhone cover. I took a bunch of different photographs to chose from :)

Yesterday I took a few pictures of Oliver and and Tracy taking a class at Airdrie swimming pool.

Abby and Mandy had a class right after so I took a few photos of them as well :)

This weekend we had The 2014 Calgary International Auto & Truck Show... so Tracy, Oliver, and I spent some time there... here are a few images that I took.

I was impressed with the amount of colours Lamborghini had at the show, beautiful Italian cars :)

Oliver really loves cars so it was a very exciting day for him! He wanted to sit pretty much in every car he saw :)

This is not how we imagined our night to go but our little Oliver got sick and had to go stay in a hospital.

Tracy, Oliver and I spent some time at the Calgary Zoo. I didn't take many photos but here are a few shots that I did take.
