It was pretty bumpy at the end of the flight but we made it, hello Mexico!

Not what I was hoping to see, but as long as it doesn't rain on the wedding day :) We arrived to Cancun and were greeted by heavy rain :( Luckily it didn't last long and we had some sun today, although rain came back in the afternoon :(

Ok, I'm not a big fan of Mexican food but this was the best shrimp tacos I ever tried!

I didn't really do very much today, just looked around the resort and walked about 10 km along the beach... took a couple of photographs of local wild life :)

Sitting and waiting for our flight at Calgary International Airport. Tracy and I are on our way for a vacation, where I will also photograph a wedding :) Check my blog for more updates, I'm planning on posting something pretty much everyday.

JANUARY 7, 2012 | CALGARY MOTORCYCLE SHOW

Tracy and I, and a couple of our friends, spent some time at Calgary Motorcycle Show earlier today. I love going to this type of shows but I have to admit that I didn't like this one as much as I did the last year's show.

It was sad to see that smaller bikes and scooters were not represented very well, but I guess what did I expect living in Calgary.

Hi Aenea, good to hear from you!! Hope all is well with your family! No actually the show was pretty small in bike selection. I definitely didn't' see anything that would make me trade in my Vespa, I like it too much! I do like Moto Guzzi bikes but they didn't have any at the show :(

DECEMBER 31, 2011 | ANUAL PHOTO OF OUR HOME IN AIRDRIE

For 5 years now its been a tradition of me taking a photo of our house with a different vehicle in front of it. Here is this year's photo that I just took. Take a look at my previous photos from 2010, 2009, 2008 and 2007 . Our tree is bigger now, we didn't have much snow this year, and we have more Christmas lights up :) My last post of the year... HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

DECEMBER 27, 2011 | PLAYING WITH MY GOPRO CAMERA

For Christmas I got a GoPro camera from Tracy. I was looking at the camera for a while and thought it would be great to have it for my scooter trips and to use it for some interesting angles on my photo shoots :) Today I did a couple of tests. For the Vespa shot I attached camera to the top of my helmet, it worked well but I would need to find a bit better position and try some different angles.

For the bicycle shot I attached camera to Tracy's bike while she was biking behind me. Not many places on my bike for it, I would have to think about it. For the car shot I attached camera to the outside of my windshield. This was just a quick test and I'm looking forward playing with it more :)

DECEMBER 11, 2011 | NEW BROMPTON AND MINI BICYCLES

Tracy and I upgraded our bicycles. I'm not sure if this is an upgrade or not but we purchased two new folding bicycles. We got a Brompton and a MINI folding bikes, they both fold in seconds and fit nicely into my little MINI Cooper car :) Hopefully when the weather will get a bit nicer we can do some biking trips.

AUGUST 13, 2011 | VESPA ADVENTURES | TRIP TO JASPER, AB

Ever since I bought this red scooter, I was thinking of taking it for a trip to Jasper, AB. Well a couple of days ago it finally happened :) Tracy and I went for a short trip, one day there and one day back. I rode 882 km in these two days, and what a beautiful ride! This trip is very easy to do on a scooter, I'm sure it can be easily done on 150cc scooter as well.

For this trip I packed very light, as always, I guess :) The biggest item for my trips is always my camera bag with 15in laptop, 3 lenses, and a camera. I took extra shoes, some warm sweaters, and some spare clothes. For this trip I also took a tire repair kit, all fits very nicely in my GIVI Top Case.
