DAY 3: Rode 598km. Home sweet home... I made it!

I was driving and enjoying my view and than this happened. In total of 2 seconds hundreds of them got squashed.

So this trip was a first real test for my Tucano Urbano saddlebags and they did great! Looking forward to use them on my future long trips, although they did kill my top speed by about 10-15km/h.

This is my attempt of taking more photographs of something other than my bike... I took a few photos of cows... I tried, there was just not much out there :)

MAY 17, 2015 | MY VESPA ADVENTURES | SASKATOON TRIP

DAY 2: Rode 39km. Today is a day to relax and spend with family and friends :)

While Oliver was taking his nap, I decided to ride and explore some of what Saskatoon has to offer. I would describe it as very bumpy ride.. Traveling always reminds me of how good our roads are back in Calgary.

MAY 16, 2015 | MY VESPA ADVENTURES | SASKATOON TRIP

DAY 1: Rode 591km. I'm on a little adventure on my Vespa again. This morning I left for Saskatoon, SK. This will be a good test for my new Tucano Urbano saddlebags. First part of the day I had to ride in the rain, that I don't really mind, its actually somewhat relaxing :)

Riding in the rain for hours was also a good test for my LifeProof iPhone case... so far so good :)

Around lunch time the rain stopped, but unfortunately winds picked up and this ended up being probably one of the most challenging/difficult rides for me. I had to ride in a very strong side wind and because of the turbulence I really had to slow down or pretty much stop when I saw big semi trucks coming my way. Because of the wind my top speed at one point was only 68km/hour, full throttle.. scooter just couldn't go any faster.

Thanks to my Scala Rider, I had my phone connected to my helmet and I was able to listen to my music for the whole 9 hours of the trip :)

The drive to Saskatoon is not very exciting, this was my view for pretty much the whole day.

Earlier today I went for a ride on my Italian Donkey. My friend Greg got a new BMW bike and this was our first ride together this year.

DECEMBER 28, 2014 | ANNUAL PHOTO OF OUR HOME IN AIRDRIE

For 8 years now its been a tradition of me taking a photo of our house with one of our vehicles in front of it. I took this photo from a little farther away, so it looks like the tree didn't grow much, but it did! This year we don't really have very much snow but still enough to prevent me from riding my Vespa :( This is not a new Vespa, but I noticed that I don't have an annual photo with it yet... so I guess its time :) Take a look at my previous photographs from 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008 and 2007.

What a neat tradition. I would never be able to do this as I cannot recall having lived in the same place for longer than three years or so. DAY 10: Traveled 576km: Big mountains of Jasper await! First I was planing to stay overnight in Jasper, AB and come home tomorrow... but I made a good progress riding and decided that I will ride straight home :)

Ever since I left for this trip, I wanted to visit Glacier Skywalk. It was $25 but worth the money, I enjoyed it :)

DAY 9: Traveled 429km: I love traveling on my Vespa! If I had lots of money I would defiantly go around the World... I need to buy a lottery ticket :) Beautiful ride this morning!

I had Tracy's voice in my head that I should do more on my travels... so I decided to stop at this River Safari to try to see some black bears from a boat.

When we got going, it started to rain more and more... soon I got all soaking wet and we didn't see any bears. I bet bears that saw us, were making fun of the stupid people soaking wet in the boat :(
