I was processing photographs from the tournament that I just did, when I received a phone call and was asked to photograph Career Directions 2008 at SAIT. I grabbed my camera gear and spent an evening working. Here are a few of my favorites.

I'm back! It has been a while since I posted anything here. This weekend was the busiest weekend of the year for me and I am very tired. I photographed "Ring of Fire" ringette tournament here in Airdrie. It was a big tournament with 32 teams from all over the place with age range from bunnies to adults. I took many great photos and here are a few of them for you to see.

Just before the tournament on Thursday I photographed 2008 President's Reception at SAIT. It was a great big event with exotic music, Polynesian inspired dancers, and gourmet tropical cuisine. During this event I fell and smashed my camera on the ground. I was able to still take photographs and everything looks good but my filter shattered and I couldn't take it off. I will give it a try today using some pliers or something and hopefully its just the filter that is broken.

I just came back from doing some event photography at the Calgary Zoo. IHS had a party for their clients and I was invited to document it. I always love photographing at the Zoo and this evening I had a great time and got some wonderful photographs!

IHS employees were asked to dress up safari like. Photo to the right, Mandy, my sister in law, took it very seriously, great job Mandy!

I spent my evening at a party. Rapid Solutions had their client appreciation Christmas party at Centini Restaurant, Downtown Calgary. The food and music was excellent! I saw this band play 3 times already and unfortunately didn't catch their name but these guys are great.

Calgary on a rainy day, panoramic image from 6 vertical photographs.

On August 13th, Calgary hosted 60km walk to raise funds for breast cancer research, it was the largest single fundraising event for breast cancer in AlbertaÂ’s history.
2281 participants raised $7.1 million. Each walker raised minimum of $2.000 to participate in the walk.

It was a two day event. Participants walked 35km and camped for the night, the next day they walked the remaining 25km. It was a very emotional event with lots of smiles and tears. By the end of the walk there was a closing ceremony in The Corral building, Stampede park
