We had great weather today so I took a little drive on some country roads around Airdrie. This little shed caught my eye so I took a couple of shots.

We don't have any kids yet so for the father's day I thought I would take a couple of photos of our cats :) Happy Father's day everyone!

2009-06-28 01:51 artemski: Hey Sergei, nice cat! Cheers from Russia
2009-06-21 19:01 Virginia: Aren't cats the greatest! My hubby gave me flowers for Mother's Day (from the cat). They're our kids!

Today was the last day when I had a loaner car, 2008 convertible MINI. Because it is a convertible I thought it would be perfect to attach a remote camera to the car, so on my way to the dealership to return the car I took some shots. I wish I thought of it sooner, I could have driven to some nice places for this :) I used Manfrotto Magic Arm and Manfrotto Super Clamp to attach my camera to the car.

2009-06-17 17:27 Katya U: wow this is a crazy shot. It makes me feel like I'm actually driving.

I had to do a lot of driving today. I drove 3 different MINI Coopers in one day :) I took my MINI for a scheduled maintenance and they gave me another MINI as a loaner, pretty much the same as my car but 2009. Not long time after I got home they called me and asked if I could bring that car back. They wanted to sell it in the evening and in return gave me a 2008 convertible MINI. I only had my camera and 50 mm lens but I made a quick stop and took some shots. I never drove a convertible before so it was kind of fun :)

Yesterday we had some friends over at our house for some sausages and burgers on our first fire of the year :) We stayed up pretty late and the weather was perfect! Today Tracy and I are off to visit my parents in Calgary. Busy weekend of relaxing before my busy wedding season starts :)

2009-05-25 11:10 Violetta: I miss you guys!!!!!

For the last two summers my dad and I worked on building this beautiful deck for Tracy and I. We build it all from scratch and its all made of cedar wood. Granite counter top, build in BBQ, movable benches and a large table are just a few futures of the deck. The deck is pretty much done, we just need to put a coat or two of stain on it. So this summer we are ready to finally enjoy it!

2009-05-26 15:34 Mark: Wicked deck! Someday when I have my own place my dream is to build a deck like that - congrats on finally finishing it!

I have a wedding to photograph in two weeks, it will be in Airdrie and Crossfield and I'm very excited about it. Today I went for a drive to scout some possible locations for our formal photographs. I found some nice spots, the problem is finding a nice spot with enough space where the limo can stop and turn around :) Here a couple of photographs of my MINI in one of the locations that I found.

2009-05-21 13:46 Sergei Belski: Thank you Trevor, too bad I pretty much didn't take any shots of the MINI in the snow :( Maybe next year.
2009-05-21 11:14 Trevor: very nice!

Tracy's mom just came to Calgary from her vacation in Arizona and brought some home grown lemons for us. They are huge and so juicy! She brought a whole suitcase of them so we made lemonade and we have to think what we will be doing with the rest of them :)

It is my dad's birthday today and because tomorrow is a Mother's Day, we decided to have my parents over at our house and to celebrate it all together. The weather was great and we had a nice BBQ and I made some great shish kebabs, pretty sure the best shish kebabs I ever ate! Happy Birthday Dad!

2009-05-21 13:48 Sergei Belski: Aren't my parents cute after more than 30 years of marriage? :)

Today was a beautiful day so as soon as Tracy got home from work we decided to go for a walk. We had a great walk for about 10 km around a very nice neighborhood right outside of Airdrie city limits. We were a little late getting back home and the sunset was almost over but I still grabbed my camera and took a couple of shots.
