Today was a nice and relaxing day for us and we spent most of it at the beach. The beach at this resort is not the greatest, it has many rocks so it's not very nice to swim but there is a nice beach 5-10 min walk away from our resort so I think we will go there next time. What you see on the photographs below are not rocks, they are sand bags, placed around our beach. I never saw it before and not 100% sure why they are there, I think it's to stop the waves. It was fun to play on them, trying to climb over them with the waves.

While getting in the water we were attacked by fish. They were swiming everywhere around me and I got bitten. I tried to take a photo but didn't really get anything very nice. I also took some shots of the local wildlife on the way to our hotel room.

For the New Year celebration we had a nice lobster dinner and spent the rest of our evening at the beach, listening to the ocean. Happy New Year everyone!

We are siting in the airport right now. I didn't know this but they have free Internet now in the Calgary airport! This morning I woke up at 4am, put on my shorts, and went to shovel snow. As I mentioned Tracy and I are on our way to spend a week in Mexico. As you can probably see, I grew a mustache, to better fit in with the locals down there :)

After some de-icing we were on our way! I had a window seat so I was able to catch some nice shots of the sunrise and other things that we were flying over. We arrived to the resort in the late afternoon and it was too dark for any pictures so we just had a nice dinner and spent some time in our room reading some information about the resort and I had a chance to update my blog. On an other note, I noticed that locals don't really have mustaches so I will be shaving my mustache off :) Tomorrow we will see what the resort looks like and hopefully I will be able to post some photos. I wish everyone a Happy New Year!

I hope you all are enjoying the snow and cold weather here in Calgary! Tracy and I are off to Mexico for a week to spend some time with our family. If I will have Internet I will do my best to update my blog as often as I can so please check it for all the updates.

Yesterday evening, for the second day straight, I spent some time at the Zoo. This time I photographed Christmas Lights. The weather was great, I think it was +2 C, it was wonderful but thousands of people decided to come so it wasn't the best for my photographs.

There were many interesting and fun things for kids to do.

My friend Alex and I just came back from a day trip to Banff National Park. The weather was wonderful, company was great, and I had a very good time! I didn't go though all of my photographs yet but here are a few of my favorites so far.

Recently we had a pretty good snowfall here in Airdrie so I decided to take some Christmas lights photographs. I spent some time at Airdrie Festival of Lights, it was fun and the weather was excellent. Just before going to the Festival I took a shot of our house as well.

I had some time so I decided that it was time to do some renovations around the house. We have a spare room that was bright pink and they did a pretty bad job painting it. Paint was everywhere: windows, doors, and ceiling. Tracy and I picked the color and I already taped and primed the room. Hopefully will have some time next week to finish it all.

Tracy and I woke up early today and drove to cutdown a Christmas tree for our house. It was very cool, we walked around until we found the tree that we wanted. We cut it down and its only cost us $5. The money goes to help children so it was very great that way as well. I think we were the smallest car there and some people looked at us strange when we were tying a 9 feet tree to the roof of my MINI.
