Earlier today I went out for a ride with my friend Greg, me on my Vespa and him on his BMW motorcycle. I usually ride alone, but it was nice to ride with a friend for a change, although I didn't stop for photos as much as I usually do :)

2012-02-11 09:54 Sergei Belski: I think in situations when people don't see you.. they still not going to see you if you add more colour. Just drive like they don't see you and be aware and ready for it. But I guess whatever helps :)
2012-02-10 19:11 SonjaM: Greg, how about a yellow bike? Just asking because I had a yellow F650GS once... didn't help the cagers on the visibility though...
2012-02-07 15:58 Maple: Greg...are you sure that other motorists will see you? ??? :
2012-02-06 17:11 Greg_Plesche: I really need to get the neon yellow pants to match!

I had some business in Calgary this morning so I decided to ride my Vespa :) The weather have been perfect for scooter riding this winter!

2012-02-05 19:32 Sergei Belski: Thank you :) Just drove in a back alley somewhere in Calgary.. one of the shops was painted bright blue so I took some photos :)
2012-02-05 13:05 SonjaM: Symmetry and colors. Photographic classics. Where did you find that blue wall?

Tracy and I, and a couple of our friends, spent some time at Calgary Motorcycle Show earlier today. I love going to this type of shows but I have to admit that I didn't like this one as much as I did the last year's show.

It was sad to see that smaller bikes and scooters were not represented very well, but I guess what did I expect living in Calgary.

2012-01-12 12:35 Sergei Belski: Hi Aenea, good to hear from you!! Hope all is well with your family! No actually the show was pretty small in bike selection. I definitely didn't' see anything that would make me trade in my Vespa, I like it too much! I do like Moto Guzzi bikes but they didn't have any at the show :(
2012-01-12 06:34 Aenea: Ciao Sergei! Did you see anything at the show that made you want to trade in your trusty Vespa?

First ride of the year! I have to say that riding in -13C on a highway is pretty cold. This morning I went out to meet some people from a local scooter club for breakfast, little did I know, I would be the only one who made it there on an actual scooter :) I guess its a bit too cold for some people to ride. I had great holidays but tomorrow is back to work for me, I'm photographing a couple of basketball games :)

2012-01-08 18:16 SonjaM: That's dedication! And the picture has a nice European touch to it. In the motorcycle club that I frequent, nobody arrives on a bike (or scooter) from October to April at least, and we don't even get much snow and cold at the We(s)t Coast...
2012-01-01 20:40 Sergei Belski: As soon as I will start booking enough jobs in Florida or Hawaii we can move :)
2012-01-01 14:33 Tracy B!: Now I think that is a little too cold for scooting--we need to move somewhere warmer ;). Happy New Year!!!

For 5 years now its been a tradition of me taking a photo of our house with a different vehicle in front of it. Here is this year's photo that I just took. Take a look at my previous photos from 2010, 2009, 2008 and 2007 . Our tree is bigger now, we didn't have much snow this year, and we have more Christmas lights up :) My last post of the year... HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

2014-09-20 06:45 catherine: love your Vespa photos and Vespa adventures.
2013-08-05 14:08 clippingpathoutsource. com: awesome, very very nice photography.
2012-01-01 10:44 Tracy B!: So little snow this year, but love the new lights--Thanks Honey!!!! Love your tradition, but hopefully no new vehicles next year though, right?!
2011-12-31 19:12 Vanessa Day: Kinda neat seeing the progression and also to see how much snow we've had in past years!

Can you believe it? December 29 and we have such a nice riding weather here :) I'm enjoying my time off and today I went out for a little ride on my Vespa.

2011-12-30 10:29 Sergei Belski: Thank you Charley! I'm not brave but If I will wait for the warm weather and no snow here, there will not be much time left to ride :) Have a Happy New Year!
2011-12-30 06:10 Charles Chapman: You are a brade soul to ride in the cold and left over snow. Good for you and it is always nice to see the pictures you take. Have a safe New Year. charley, TX

Went out on my scooter this morning, mostly to test my new camera, but also couldn't resist taking a quick photo of my Vespa :)

I checked the weather report and saw "Winter storm warning" so I thought I would take my Vespa for a run to Calgary to pickup some things. What a nice ride it was and I made it home safe before any snow :)

2011-12-19 19:39 SonjaM: Beautiful pics as usual, love the bright orange. Still no snow here at he We(s)t Coast. Happy Holidays and ride safely.
2011-11-30 07:22 Tracy B!: Glad you made it out, since the snow did come. No longer scooter-friendly out there! P.S. I did shovel this morning just so you know, since I presume by the time you wake up you won't be able to tell :)

Its the end of November and look at a beautiful weather we are having :) Very strong wind today but at least the roads are clear, I even saw one other motorcycle on the road... its an improvement from the usual number of motorcycles I see... zero :)

I had to run some errands today so I took my Vespa :) I rode for 85 kilometres and on a high way at -6C it is pretty cold, can't complain though, riding in the middle of November :)

2011-11-18 21:30 SonjaM: Just be careful out there the rubber doesn't warm up in these temperatures and can become pretty slick even on dry roads. Had it once happening when riding my motorcycle at minus 5C, could catch it but wasn't a fun experience.
