I'm not a fan of Chicago Blackhawks but they do have some nice players on the team. Here are a few of my photographs from the NHL hockey game I photographed on Friday for USA TODAY Sports... This turned out to be a great game and I got some nice images :) For the first two periods I was shooting from the ice level through a hole in the glass.

Karri Ramo get sprayed with some ice... he made some great saves in this game.

For the third period I grabbed my big 400mm lens and headed to shoot the game from up high.

Everything was going great until battery in my camera died :( Over the three years shooting NHL hockey I never had problems going through the game on one battery but today was not my day... With the game tied up 1-1 and only two minutes left till the end of the game, I had to run all the way to the media room for a new battery. Luckily I made it back in time and the game ended with a nice overtime goal by Johnny Gaudreau.
