I woke up this morning and saw that it was snowing, so my first thought was "I should go for a ride" :)

2011-11-08 21:32 Sergei Belski: Thank you Tomas!
2011-11-08 04:06 Tomas Griger: Wow, it looks awesome in the snow! Hats down, I wouldn't dare to go out in that kind of weather :D
2011-11-01 09:50 Sergei Belski: Thank you! Sonja - I don't put winter tires on. I wanted to do it this year but I just changed my tires a couple of weeks ago and don't want to go through it again right now. I had some problems with a bad front tire and had to change it twice :(
2011-10-31 19:34 SonjaM: The red really sticks out in the snow. I love the contrast. Do you put winter tires on?
2011-10-31 16:53 Tracy B: OnlY you Sergei!!! Silly Boy!!!!
2011-10-31 14:33 Greggy_Baby: YEAH!, it all melted. Booooo, I am going to have to park my Beemer for the winter soon:(

I had an hour to spend while waiting for my photo to be printed, so I decided to go and explore some new roads. I ended up having a great ride :)

2011-10-27 17:29 Sergei Belski: Thank you :) I don't really print much.. I like printing at Costco.. quality is great, price is good and great service! I print with Apple sometimes when I need large size prints. But like I said, I really don't print much.
2011-10-26 16:36 Randy Santa-Ana: It's always fun to look at your Vespa photographs, Sergei! On another note, since you mentioned it I was wondering if I may ask what printing service you are using for you photos. I would like to make prints of my own photographs too and would appreciate your recommendation. Thanks!

Earlier this morning I went for a ride on my Vespa. I didn't have anything specific in mind, just wanted to take some photos of my bike with some fall colours. Here is what I ended up with :)

I have been riding my Vespa lots, but being busy with other photo shoots, I didn't have time to take any photos on my scooter lately. Today I decided to take my scooter out for a ride with my friend and to take some photos :)

Just before our ride we noticed that my tire's status changed from being "bald" to "completely bald" :) I'm guessing it is never a good thing when you can see the metal "wires" in your tire... oh well, it lasted for 9,850 km. I had to pick up a couple of tires that I had at home and people at Walt Healy Motorsports were very kind to change them for me.

Yesterday I had an engagement photo shoot in Banff, so I rode my Vespa to it. I was short on time so only took a couple of photos of my scooter. Photographs from the actual photo shoot are coming soon :)

2011-09-07 11:08 Tracy B!: GORGEOUS!!!!

On my last trip to Jasper, AB I had some problems with my helmet. I discovered that it wasn't the right fit for me and on the long ride it had some pretty bad pressure points, to the point where I had to stop just to take my helmet off :( Because I do ride very often, and hopefully will go for some more long distance trips... A couple of days ago I had to go and buy a new helmet. As long as I remember, I always heard that Arai helmets are the safest and the most comfortable in the world, so I bought an Arai RX-Q. It doesn't have as many features as my last helmet did, but so far its very comfortable!

2011-08-18 19:49 Sergei Belski: Thank you Sonja! I actually should be getting my silver scooter in a week or two.. I guess we will see if that will happen :) The sticker I got from this site: http://www.advrider.com/
2011-08-18 16:32 SonjaM: The helmet goes nicely with the red Vespa as well as with the silver one (do you still have it or given up on it? Where did your get the Ride the World sticker? I like it!
2011-08-17 21:46 Sergei Belski: Thank you Maple! :)
2011-08-17 21:37 Maple: Cool helmet!!!

Ever since I bought this red scooter, I was thinking of taking it for a trip to Jasper, AB. Well a couple of days ago it finally happened :) Tracy and I went for a short trip, one day there and one day back. I rode 882 km in these two days, and what a beautiful ride! This trip is very easy to do on a scooter, I'm sure it can be easily done on 150cc scooter as well.

For this trip I packed very light, as always, I guess :) The biggest item for my trips is always my camera bag with 15in laptop, 3 lenses, and a camera. I took extra shoes, some warm sweaters, and some spare clothes. For this trip I also took a tire repair kit, all fits very nicely in my GIVI Top Case.

2011-08-18 15:02 bobskoot: Sergei: I never tire of your photos, the mountains, beautiful scenery. It has been a few years since we have been to Jasper but we had bad weather bob <a href="http://www.wetcoastscootin.blogspot.com">Riding the Wet Coast</a>
2011-08-14 22:12 SonjaM: Brilliant, as always, but Tracy is right, these epic trips need way more time. I am looking forward to your next one. Hurry up, summer is almost over ;-)
2011-08-13 17:50 Tracy B!: Great Trip--as always! But when is our next long one--you gotta get planning? 2 days is just a tease!!!!

Just came home from a family photo shoot. Took a couple of shots of my Vespa on the way home :) I will post some photographs from the actual photo shoot in a couple of days.

This weekend Apocalypse Scooter Club of Calgary hosted a scooter rally, so my scooter spent some time frolicking with other scooters :) This was my first scooter rally and I had lots of fun! Each day more than 40 scooters showed up and it was interesting going for a ride around Calgary with such a large group!

2011-08-06 22:02 Sergei Belski: Skyline of Calgary is changing.. The Calgary tower is so small comparing to the building around it. This shot is taken from the North side. I think the tower is somewhere behind buildings :) Thank you!
2011-08-06 21:13 SonjaM: Sergei, Scooter mayhem in the prairies! This is the skyline of Calgary, taken from Sunnyside, right? What happened to the Calgary tower? Can't see the icon of the city anymore. Brilliant shots as usual. Thanks!

I was asked to post some photos and explain how I attached my top-case to my Vespa. I had a minute so I thought I would do a small blog post :) My top-case is GIVI TRK46N TREKKER and I have been packing the case with some pretty heavy items and rode in some bumpy conditions and so far its doing great! It takes only seconds to put it on or to take it off. I don't ride with it all the time but so far I ride with it more often than I thought I would :)

To attach the top-case to the scooter I purchased GIVI Monokey plate for Kawasaki KLR 650 motorcycle. Not necessary the best plate to use, but it was the only one they had at our local motorcycle shop. I used a couple of U-bolts to attach it to my Vespa rear rack. I had to cut the U-bolts a little to make them shorter, and file some plastic from the plate to get a perfect fit.
