I just came home from my first hockey game of this season. My main camera is still in repairs so I had to use my backup, Canon 1D Mark II. It took me about 5 or 10 minutes to get used to it but its still a great camera! Tonight Mount Royal Cougars played against MacEwan Griffins. Cougars won 3-2 and it was an entertaining game. Griffins team had a girl for a goalie and she was fantastic, she made 45 or so saves and was a player of the game for the Griffins.

I had a very long weekend, many kilometers of driving, but very fun at the same time. Sunday I drove to Lethbridge to photograph a golf tournament. On my way there it was raining so I wasn't very excited, but during the tournament the weather was perfect. The golf course was very beautiful and I had a great time.

Saturday some of my friends and I went on a photo trip. We left our house just before 7 am and caught the sunrise while we were driving. The plan was to drive through Banff and to go see a classics car show in Radium Hot Springs, stopping on our way and taking photographs.

The car show was very big with many interesting cars. The weather was very hot and we got very tired very fast so we stopped at Radium Hot Springs for a little swim in the pool.

We stayed a little longer than we were planning at Radium Hot Springs, so we had to drive fast so we could take some photographs of the Takakkaw water falls. We made it to the waterfalls but it was very dark already and I only took couple of photos of it. We stopped for a great supper at a Greek restaurant in Banff and headed home.

I'm back from my photo shoot at Mount Royal College. Today I took some photographs of volleyball and basketball players for the cover of the game day brochures. I had lots of fun and I think I ended up with a bunch of nice photographs.

It's 11 p.m. and I'm still working on processing photographs from tonight's soccer games. Mount Royal Cougars had their season home opener games against the Medicine Hat Rattlers. At first it was sunny and hot but by the end of the second game the temperature dropped and it started to rain. I didn't have my jacket with me so I got wet and frozen :(

I'm finally home and resting! Boys from Alberta won the championship and Airdrie team finished with the Bronze medal. This was my last booked tournament for the season and I'm very excited to start photographing weddings. I still didn't do my taxes this year, so this will be my priority for the next week.

Two more days passed of the Bantam AAA Western Canadian Championship in Airdrie, Alberta. My body is all very sore and I'm for sure need more sleep! I also think that I'm getting sick, probably from being in the cold for so long. Sorry if I didn't reply to your emails, I hope to catch up tomorrow evening after its all over.

Three days straight I spent away photographing a Ringette Provincials. Even at this age, 11-12 year old, this game is very fast! I'm not a big fan of hockey and ringette tournaments, I love photographing them but its just way too cold for my liking. Spending 10 or more hours a day at the ice level is just not so good on my body. Tracy as always did an awesome job processing all of the images and doing all the sales.

Second and the last day of the "Best of the West Women's Volleyball Championship 2008". For this tournament I was hired by the Dinos Women's Volleyball Club. I enjoyed the tournament and got lots of good photographs. I am already done processing all of my photographs and now I can enjoy a movie or two :)
