I made some of my favorite food for lunch today, calamari. In the process I managed to set off the fire alarm from having too much smoke but the calamity were great! I'm off to a couple of meetings, wish me luck!

It was a wonderful day outside and decided to take my wife out for some ice cream and a nice walk in a park. I didn't have to do any work this weekend so it was very nice to spend some time together with my family. With the weather getting so nice lately I will probably have my first soccer game of the season tomorrow. I'm totally out of shape but I'm very excited for the season to start :) If you didn't know, I love soccer and play in a recreational league. You can check it out by going here: calgarysportsclub.com

I thought I would start the weekend early with a nice BBQ. We buy these very nice spicy sausages from a butcher shop right outside of Airdrie and they are awesome! I can't wait for the weather to get better so I can finish building our deck and have some great BBQs going :)

I was driving back home from scouting some photo locations for a wedding that I have to photograph this weekend and I noticed this oil rig. I didn't take any sunset photographs for a very long time so I decided to stop and take couple of shots.

Tracy and I watched a movie couple of days ago "Into the Wild". It was a good movie and I decided to buy a soundtrack CD from it. I just wanted to recommend it. If you are a fan of Eddie Vedder its a great CD in my opinion!

My friend Bradley is in the process of getting his pilot license and today was one of his lessons. Tracy, Greg, and I decided to go and see him flying. We watched Bradley do the preflight airplane check and he was all ready to take off when he found out that the airspace is over booked. I don't know any technical terms but what I understood was that they had more airplanes flying around that they wanted. The lesson was canceled and we pretty much woke up and drove there for nothing. That must be disappointing for the pilot to come, get all excited to fly and at the last seconds have to cancel. Bradley said it wasn't the fist time it happened.

It was a beautiful day and we spent some time at the Zoo. I didn't go there for a long time so I finally had a chance to see a baby elephant and some other new animals. We spent just a couple of hours walking around and after went for lunch to one of my favorite restaurants - "Sakana Grill".

Yesterday was a very exciting day for me. My new MacBook Pro finally arrived! I wanted to say that migrating all my stuff from my old laptop was a breeze! It took me couple of clicks and about an hour and I had all my programs, all presets, bookmarks, etc on my new laptop.

Great job by Apple to have such an option. I remember when I was a PC user it took me forever to transfer all my things and to reinstall all my programs on a new computer and even than I didn't transfer everything anyway.

It was a wonderfull day! I didn't have to work today so I spent some time resting on the couch with my cats, watched a movie, and cleaned a bit around the house. In the evening we had some friends and family over for a very nice supper. I have to photograph some volleyball games tomorrow and on Sunday so it should be a pretty fun weekend.

Today was a busy day for me. I went out for a brunch with some friends and than Tracy and I spent the rest of the day at the Calgary International Auto and Truck show with my parents. My parents also took us out for a quick dinner afterwards and it was great!
